I’m a genius. I made a plan on the way back from the Chime Dingers, nearly got distracted by kegs of ale but managed to only buy one and kept my head. Lay in wait on one of the dorm couches - I knew it would only be a matter of time before Malnar slunk past me to the baths to spend hours ‘bathing’. I gave him time to settle in, to feel safe, and then I made my move. The door didn’t stand a chance, crumpled with barely any force so he didn’t have a moment to react and hide.

I managed to surprise him and he was in a different shape than usual. A more furry one. He wasn’t expecting it and neither was I, to be honest. Not exactly sure what I thought the game was (doing weird magic stuff to rabbits??) but I’ve solved it now, and apparently before Illiara too.

So many people seem to be hiding what they are. And not out of fear or malice, Malnar seemed to find it fun. It’s a different way of looking at it, I guess. I’m starting to think the others wouldn’t see it the way the druids do. The druids definitely wouldn’t have reacted with such concern to Mariama’s nightmares.

Mariama’s sister is fucked, by the way. Some creepy dolls are dancing her across the jungle until she gets them what they want. They were kind of cool at first, there was a grey skinned one like me and they called us heroes. Then it got weird. I started playing along when I got bored and thankfully they let us go afterwards even though Cualli threw a javelin at them.

I’m so disappointed that throw ended badly, he’s going to be more careful with his anger now and that’s no fun.
