Cooked griffon meat doesn’t taste as much like chicken as I thought it would. Still pretty good but definitely a different taste than I was expecting. I don’t think I’d go out of my way to try and hunt one of them down again, their claws are nasty. Pretty sure I blacked out for a few seconds in the middle of the fight because of the blood loss. I’m still not strong enough yet if things like that can take me down.

Teacher Ot was there but it wasn’t like he was ordering us around, he was just giving helpful pointers and some of them actually worked. Maybe I’ll go to his extra study session after all once classes start up again.

We’ll have new students joining us when they do, more spider people. At least I have time to myself for a while for a few weeks. Normally I’d find a few taverns or fuck off into the jungle for a bit but I’m guessing the rest of my group will be around. They’ve been talking a lot more, even Illiara. About how terrible the school is, fistfights, and things I don’t remember mentioning. They were clearly aiming for something but I don’t think they asked an actual question so I ignored it. The answer is written all over me anyway.
