Tournament was fun. Kind of a clusterfuck. We only came second but it's not like our victory had been decisive in any way so I guess I can accept that. I carved those leafy constructs up pretty badly before one managed to knock me out, it must have wanted vengeance from the previous round when I killed it in two hits. Surprisingly our little group managed to pull it together and scrape a win without me.

Cualli did good at trying to hold the line against four constructs at once and apparently Malnar dodged attacks with an agility I hadn't expected from him. Illiara was the highlight though. The flames that blasted from her hands were nothing like the small bursts of fire I've seen her use before. I wish I could have seen her face as that thing broke her umbrella, I felt the air change when she snapped.

It's nice to know these people aren't as serene and perfect as they pretend to be.

Esi said there's another tournament next month and we're going to crush that one. I already feel stronger. And Cualli and Malnar said there was a snakeskin in the pond behind the dorm that looks even bigger than the previous snake we ate. Bigger means tastier, right? More things to look forward to.

... You'd think people would have spotted a snake that big between buildings though. Maybe it's using the tunnels too.
