Session 41: To the Hall of Veils
As we progressed into the halls of the underworld, we entered a room with shadows dancing along the walls. As we made our way further into the room, the shadows engaged with us. Their attacks were fierce and did significant damage to some of us. To make matters worse, a huge shadow dragon appeared at the other end of the hall, as well. As we fought with the various shadow creatures, Bait fell to a series of attacks from the dragon. It did not seem to stop attacking his fallen body, seemingly intent on killing him. As Bait’s life seemed to leave his body, there was a flash, an explosion that killed the dragon and not only brought Bait back to life, but also healed others in the battle. Bait did not say much of what happened, but stated that he had seen Zeus when he fell.
After finishing the last of the shadows, we continued through another hall of mirrors with two riddles apparently being the keys to our exit. The answers – a skull and waterfall – applied to two columns opened our way once again.
We finally found our way to what we think is the Hall of Veils. It appears safe as we settle down for a rest to heal and recover our energy.
