Magnar Brittlefang

Lord of White Harbor, Chief of the Thenn Clan Magnar Brittlefang (a.k.a. The Crow Killer)

Bio

Magnar Brittlefang is the chief of the Thenn Clan, and overlord of all the clans in the Haunted Forest. This includes, but is not limited to, the Mountain Dwellers, the Cave Dwellers, the Forest Dwellers, and the Icefishers. He is also Lord of White Harbor and has expanded his holdings to include portions of the Northern and Southern parts of the Kingdom of the North.   He has ambitions to rule as the sole king beyond the wall, and attempted to challenge Magnus Magnar for control of the wall after the death of Brittlefang’s cousin, Lord Titus Crowl. He was ultimately defeated, and chose to make peace with House Stark. He has had a love-hate relationship with the Kingdom of the North, as although he has been working together with them against common enemies for a while, old rivalries between the Freefolk and the Northmen die hard.   He has an especially strong relationship with House Flint, whom he fought alongside in the war for Northern Independence, also known has the Pryor war.

Naming Rights

Each member of the clan is supposed to earn their name from a great feat they accomplished. Most earn their name after performing their rite of passage, but this is not always the case. For some, it takes longer than others.   Brittlefang won his name by dislodging a tooth in another man’s neck.

Brittlefang in New Braavos, 422 AC

Legend claims he out drank every sailor in New Braavos, found an ancient vault of Iron Bank Gold, and wrestled a baby dragon into submission.... But in reality, what he enjoyed most was the endless wheat fields, just North of Pentos. He was at peace, for the first time in his life.

While Living in New Braavos, Brittlefang’s cover as a socialite concealed his real intentions, which was to provide safe harbor for fleeing Vale families on their way farther east into Westeros, and to meet secretly with a mysterious lover.
