Sounsool

One of the oldest cities of Oros. This city has always had a healthy population, with a combination large walls and powerful religions, the city often was left out of most wars. The city war mostly untouched during The Scouring.

Government

The city is run by the Council of Sounsool, which is made up of representatives from each of the major religions within the city. The council delegates most of the running of the city to the churches and temples.

Defences

Along with the massive city wall, the city is protected by a number of miiltary groups. Each temple has their own military for both their own uses and the protection of the city.

Industry & Trade

The city is a tourist location, with many people visiting to pray and worship at some of the oldest temples and churches of their respective religions. The locals take advantage of this by selling souvenirs, food, and entertainment. Often the temples put on parades to raise awareness of their religions, beliefs, and projects they intend to undertake.

The city is surrounded by a massive wall, rumoured to have been created by The Divine Watcher herself.
The city has temples and churches to all of the known religions, as well as a few not so well known religions.

History

The city is thought to have been built (or magically summoned) by The Divine Watcher as a safe place for the early humanoids of Oros. Since then the population of the city has fluctuated, with the city growing larger over time.

Climate

The climate is cool yet dry. The city gets the odd bit of rain and snow, but otherwise the weather is often clear year round. Most of the water supply for the city comes from the rivers that feed the Moonlight Lake.

Natural Resources

The city is surrounded by forests and farmland that supplies vast quantities of timber, firewood, meat, and livestock. The farms produce some of the best goats milk in Oros.
