My knowledge of what occurred on the mission is limited. A strange flower-like object was brought on board that demanded study. Observations were made by various members of the crew. For my part I attempted to ascertain that it wasn't some plant-based living creature, a result that turned up negative as I sensed no desire from it. A fact that I am thankful for as such efforts often result in I myself sharing that desire until I quench it. A cold aura however pulsed out from it resulting in the freezing of Officer B+. I and several others at this point took her away from the lab to a warmer part of the ship to thaw her out.
During this process we received the following information:
The flower was a seedling for a world tree from another world.
This bloom resulted from reports about other worlds being written.
A similar flower sprouted a creature from another world that I will not elaborate further on due to the risks revealed.
Officer Levon had given strict orders to destroy the flower at this point. My first reaction was to sprint to the lab, ready to unleash all the strength I had on the specimen at once. To erase it from this world entirely, devoured by the shadow magic that resides within me. However, as I requested Officer Quet step away as they mused over exactly how it would be destroyed, it had already begun to sprout. I tried to unleash my magic then, destroy it before it could grow and destroy everything. It was far too durable unfortunately. This creature was tougher than what we had faced previously and shrugged off attacks like it was nothing. It was still lucky that I did however as the attack provided a cushion between myself and the beast, pushing me away from it with little more than the wind knocked out of me before the entire ship began shattering. All I could do at that point was swim to one of the life boats and pull myself aboard as it disappeared with B+ in tow. After that I have little idea of what occurred.
Given this new information I will be taking the initiative to compile information about my home world that I have written about in the past. While I'm uncertain if a similar link would occur as I'm not familiar with any word tree, the risk is likely too high to ignore. Please await my future report containing this information.
