Midnight's Journal: An Interesting New Sword

So one of the more recent missions apparently resulted in the team bringing back some pieces of a magical weapon. Not particularly an uncommon occurrence in itself. What is more uncommon is that this weapon has ended up in my hands. Looking it over, I can see why they'd possibly decide I'd be a good fit. The aura that comes off the sword is hair-raising. I can't help but feel a bit invigorated by it even. It's the kind of feeling though that would give most others the creeps however I think.
 
The only problem I see with it currently is the repair job. Did they use that duct tape stuff on it? Seriously? It's keeping in place surprisingly well, I'll admit but it doesn't seem like an ideal way to treat a sword though. Not to mention keeping the blade temporarily steady and making sure it holds up in combat are two very different things. I'm not sure how much I can trust using it. At the same time though, I should give it a good test run. See how good the sword is and what it does exactly. If it proves worthwhile, I'll just have to see about either giving it a proper repair job or figure out how I can capture its power and put it into a more sturdy shell.
 
First though I'll have to wait for a proper helpless target that needs finishing off to test it on before I make that decision.
