Southwest

The Southwest includes most of the former southwest America, from the west coast, to roughly the border of the Texas Wastes, from the gulf of Baja to the sands of Utah and Nevada. Included in this region are three powerful nations, Caesar's Legion, the Free Economic Zone of the Mojave, and the New California Republic. 
Approximately 40-45 million people live in the region, which makes it the most populous region in the post apocalypse. 
The Southwest is predominately desert, with mountain ranges throughout.
