Clan Blackbeard
Clan Blackbeard is one of the six Great Clans of Dwarves and is centered around the City of Thorahl in the Mountains of Gorgomoth. The Clan is led by the Earl Blackbeard, formerly known as Corin Blackbeard (before he became The Blackbeard). Earl Blackbeard is seen as the physical incarnation of the entire Blackbeard clan and all its constituent members.
The Clan Blackbeard has a population at Thorahl of roughly 34,000 Dwarves, and there are at least another 15,000 Blackbeard Dwarves living outside of the Gorgomoth region. There are significantly sized communities of Blackbeards in Imesse, Cobal, other regions of Aria and in Fangort.Structure
Large organization of Dwarves sharing a common cultural and ethnic heritage under the leadership of a single clan chief. Members of the Clan Blackbeard might have different family names, but all recognize the authority and leadership of The Blackbeard, who is the personification of ALL Blackbeards everywhere.

Dwarven community under the voluntary authority of the Earl Blackbeard, who makes all determinations and decisions concerning matters related to Clan affairs, regardless of locale.

The wealthy city of Thorahl in the center portion of the Gorgomoth mountains and all the related wealth of the community, as well as the extended support and contributions of Blackbeards living abroad.
Demography and Population
Clan Blackbeard has a total population of roughly 34,000 souls living in and around Thorahl, and another 15,000 living abroad. Communities of Blackbeard Dwarves can be found in Imesse, Cobal and even the far The Junn Steppe. The Clan has as its core populus nearly exclusively Dwarves, but it has granted Clan member status to at least 34 non-Dwarves over the last several hundred years. Included in this list of "honorary" Clan members is Lomain am Lomanni, the Duke of Lorancourt.
Territories
The Clan Blackbeard controls more than 1,100 square miles of the Gorgomoth range, including a large and very fertile valley and many miles of verdant prairie pasture on the north slope of the mountains. The City itself is made up of about three and a half square miles of underground city and another square mile of above ground habitations and shops. There are two moderate sized towns on the southern slope and one on the northern slope.
Foreign Relations
The Clan has an excellent trade relationship with the Kingdom of Lesser Imesse. Large caravans of heavily loaded and heavily guarded wagons and carts move across the intervening miles every month between Thorahl and Southridge much to the benefit of both realms.
The Clan also has excellent relations with the County of Raymor and its Count Guy Delauney. Much produce and resources move across their shared border and the trade is brisk and very profitable.
