The Isle of Monsters
An island where tears between realities and dimensions open up frequently. Various monsters and creatures are thrown through these portals and left stranded on the island so the local ecosystem is constantly in flux. Nobody ventures here, partly because few could hope to survive the onslaught of creatures on the island and partly due to the giant sea monster that lurks just off the coast.
Geography
The Isle of Monsters sits in the ocean visible from the coast of the East Sahlabao Desert on a clear day. The coastline of the island is sandy beach on the western edge and sharp cliff face on the eastern side. Most of the island is taken up by a thick, lush jungle that conceals numerous hidden temples, chasms, caves and even small tribal villages. At the centre of the islands sits Mt. Tikilapa, an active volcano that occasionally spits out lava rocks and a constant plume of smoke, an intimidating and hulking landmark on an otherwise flat island. The trees from the surrounding jungle lead up the volcano, almost to the top. There are several rivers running through the jungle towards the ocean, and on the northern edge of Mt. Tikilapa is Durza's Sorrow, a tall waterfall pouring from a cave into a deep pool.
