Faramel's Prairie

Technically still a part of The Empire, Faramel’s Prairie was once a beautiful grassland home to thriving trade, agriculture and the capitol of the Empire. 112 years ago, the betrayer god Faramel descended onto the mortal plane and laid waste to it, focussing his assault on the Prairie. Although Faramel was eventually defeated and slain, no amount of magic has been able to lift the blight he left on this land.

There are three settlements in the prairie, Nëvik, the former capitol of Meintalia, Skrun, a small orcish village, and Tursk, a town also home to Orcs .

Geography

Bordering The Deadlands to the west, The Great Forest and Ryvern to the east, the Arthrypt Wetlands to the north and The Great Ravine to the south, Faramel's Prairie is a mostly flat region full of death and decay. Resembling a savannah more than a grasslands now, but lacking the heat, the land has been blighted by the presence of Faramel . While the region houses a few hills there is one large volcano in the north, Mt. Narkesh, that stands out and is visible from most northern parts of the prairie. A single river, the River Ryvern runs through the region to the Great Ravine in the south.

Fauna & Flora

Due to the blight present in the land, very little grows here and most of the creatures roaming around are undead or unholy monsters. On the outskirts of the prairie you may find some beasts and edible plants, but most of the land is barren.
