Sand Island
Before the corporate takeover in 2072, this was a nature preserve. There were glacial rock formations, subtropical nature, historical monuments - colonial era fort, barracks, lighthouse, and even the ruins of an ancient temple. Guided tours were available. Now it became another "8th wonder of the world" where the incredible utopia is being built for the chosen few.
6x6 km Island is surrounded by "flood barrier" which is inexplicably higher on the side facing the mainland. If you wish to get there, you will need a pass, issued by one of the founding corporations, and take either a maglev line, or use the only bridge that goes over the wall.
There are pretty amazing things inside: gleaming towers, natural beauty - carefully preserved at great expense, internal transit system with pods acting as both cars and elevators, golf courses, entertainment for every taste. Even the air is cleaner than in the rest of Seven Cities - courtesy of mysterious high-tech facility built over and into the native cave system.
There is also a lot of ongoing construction - the island is only half-complete. It's a completely different reality for the workers - they are prohibited from moving outside their worksites and dormitories, and corporate police harasses them even there, if they become suddenly visible.
