Talus
Talus Oil Group started drilling for oil in this valley in 2020s. Small and low-depth deposit had run out in a few decades. Town built around oil refinement and adjacent industries still survives.
Since fracking stopped, this valley is not particularly polluted, although vegetation is yet to return. Village for the workers was built with some care back in the day, and residents were allowed to make improvements. It's not luxurious, but it's not miserable. It's still noisy - rumble of machinery echoes between barren mountainsides. Which is why most people prefer to live lower, beyond the railyard and preferably on the banks of Mira. It's much nicer, but not safe.
