Upper Dira
Formerly a tiny mountain hamlet, now it's a small town, taken over by the rich of the Seven Cities who wish to get away from it all and breathe fresh mountain air for a weekend.
Whole town was rebuilt around the services for local tourists. There are small hotels, nice cafes, villas for rent. Valley itself is still beautiful, even though snow wasn't seen here in decades. You can go hiking, or horse riding, or participate in extreme activities with all risks removed.
Locals are doing well, milking this situation for all it's worth. Some invest in new properties, some - in education. High school here is pretty good even for the big city standards.
