Taklakot
Taklakot is a ruined wasteland, of scrubgrass and leafless bushes and trees. Undead roam the land, and the only living beings in this land take shelter in the capital city of Gyanima.
At night, nocturnal undead prowl the land. And during the day, exposure to the sun leads to the accelerated aging of any in teh sun. It is a blighted land.

The remaining living in Taklakot are a fearful people, and avoid the sun as the source of accelerated aging, and the undead proliferation.
History
Taklakot formed the center of a conflict with the undead lich Keraptis in the MS 4400s. While Keraptis was slain and peace returned to the land, the scars from those conflicts left a hardy and superstitious people behind. In a land full of abandoned magics, the people retreated.
When Shasarak delivered the Sunstone to Taklakot, he promised it would drive away the undead. For the first year, it did just that. But, it resulted in the accelerated aging of the populace. The dying populace returned as new undead that railed against the living.
Now, Taklakot is a land of the dead.
