Zedithir
Master Zedithir Galandrel (a.k.a. Zed)
A mysterious, famous, and powerful psionic master trained at the Monastery of the Astrailaighai, Zedithir Galandrel is a famed elder warrior of the Vaniri who has been missing since the outbreak of the 40 Year War in 1002, 3e, last scene in the holy land with the Knights of Gosca.
Believed to be dead, evidence suggests Zedithir may have recently returned to Asrinheim wish suspicious psinoic encounters occuring around Furunheim in the build up to the funeral of Elder Tiristar Furyborn, his former adventuring buddy during the 6th and 7th centuries. Val confirmed Zedithir is present on the island by disgusing himself as the psionic master to some Skallen Syndicate members the warrior defeated on the Fury Road and having them recognise him.
Zedithir is a relatively uknown figure despite their legendary deeds. The psionic knight has been an adventurer, mercenary, and war hero throughout his long and storied life. To the monks of the Astrailaighai, he is a legendary master of three forms, to the Furunheimers, he is a war hero of the Fury Rebellions, and to the Seldrinar Supremacy he is a bitter enemy.

Personal history
Early Life
The warrior's early life has few public records available. All that is known is he is a descendent of House Gildaron and was born in Rockhelm before travelling to the Monastery of the Astrailaighai in the early 5th century of the 3rd era. There, he trained and mastered the Elasylir and Styrlidir forms before leaving the monastery to become an adventurer. He would meet Tiristar Furyborn and others in and around the Aedrinaran isles, the group sailing to the Marcian region in 495 at the outbreak of the Marcian Wars. Zedithir and his adventurers became heroes during the Marcian wars, and returned to Asrinheim after its conclusion to free Furunheim, Tiristar's home, from Aedrinaran occupation. The warrior would fight in the Fury Rebellion alongside his friend, becoming known to many captains and citizens of the island, including Igraine Boreas, the future mother of Gallus. Zedithir continued adventuring and training, returning to the moanstery to master the Coreliyri form and become a grandmaster of Styrilidir. He was known to have frequently battled The Piper numerous times through the centuries after first encountering the Dragon Clan wizard in the Marcian wars where his beloved was slain. The knight's last known appearance was in the holy land of the Knights of Gosca during the 40 Year War, with many believing he had died in the conflict.Heir of Furunheim Arc
In the sleepy ferry port of Krakenpost, Shan would be rescued from an angry Goat Clan warrior swinging a bar stool at his back by a psionic shove. The astute and observant monk noticed a hooded stranger in the corner of the bar, and approached him to thank him. The stranger was off put by Shan's presence and keen to move him on, relying on a psionic suggestion to do so. When Shan realised he had been charmed, he turned and saw the stranger had vanished. On the Fury Road, some Skallen Syndicate thugs who had been shaking down mourners and farmers tried to mug the wrong traveller and found themselves roundly beaten without a weapon even being drawn. Most were knocked out cold or thrown into a nearby tree using 'magic' whilst one travelled miles south to Krakenpost to turn himself in. Doomed 2 Die, first finding the psionically suggested bandit then the various defeated thugs in states of arrest, began to theorise Zedithir might be on the island. When they found the prisoners later, Val used his changeling abilities to look like Zedithir and saw the Skallen's scared reactions, confirming their suspicions. Tiristar seemed unaware his old friend was in town, and his ally and fellow Fury Rebellion hero Olisander Dirthstone beleived he was dead and could not be on the island. At his funeral, before ascending, Tiristar was seen looking into the crowd, smiling at hooded stranger. When The Dark Enchanter attacked the funeral, Zedithir initially ushered civilians to safety before coming to rescue of Gallus, Ivar, Einar, and Igraine Aramour. With the enemies by the pyre cleared, Zedithir moved with the party to Harpy's Tower to help Arystyr Furyborn, sensing the young elder might be in danger. Entering with the rest of Doomed 2 Die, the Psionic grandmaster found his old war comrade, Olisander Dirthstone, now The Dark Enchanter, and his minions attacking Arystyr, Val, Roach and Shan. Olisander would reatreat not long after Zed's arrival. In the aftermath of this battle, the veteran warrior was at first hesitatant to stay, and was satisified his 'duty' was completed. Arystyr convinced him to stay out of obligation to his father, and the psionic master reluctantly agreed to remain with the party until Olisander was defeated. In his first true adventure with the party, he would help the party uncover the first vanguard of the Dragon Clan, The Whip, located within the Night Circus in Ferenvire. He also revealed the true name of The Piper as Mothrar Gildaron. Zedithir would work alongside the party directly in their assault on Marthiel, first helping them liberate the Waterway Inn from The Wizards Four. Here he witnessed Shan and Azura jump through a Feywild portal and was powerless to stop them. He did help defeat the wizards and tried to stop the party from killing the Spring Wizard before the rat-ified members of the inn's staff could be restored, but the novice adventurers failed to listen to their seasoned companion. In Marthiel, Zedithir battled hard alongside his new party and began to open up once more, enjoying adventuring and saving the day. After Azura's apparent death was detected psionically by Gallus, he did his best to comfort the younger warrior and the party, but kept them motivated on their goals. He would see Olisander try to redeem himself at the end, and was amongst the only attendees of the disgraced governor's funeral. At the victory feast, Zedithir agreed to become Gallus's formal master and trainer and also shared some of his memories of the war with Shan and Val. Agreeing to stay with the party, he travelled with the group back to Krakenpost and helped them save Cassie Rayes in the forgotten gods temple. He also accomponined them in confronting the High Librarian of the Order of Labelas where he was cast through time alongside the rest of the party. Stuck in the mythic age alongside Gallus, the psionic master was in the middle of the Long Night in Asrinheim, and met with the founders of Houses Rayes, Ardilyir, and Gildaron alongside Frigga herself. The two would talk to the historic figures and future god, and briefly joined them in battle before they were rescued from time by Azura. The Deep Arc
Back in his normal time and space, Zedithir sailed on The Lyre's Tongue towards Orsturkirk. As an Ice Elf, he was one of the few crew that was not lulled to sleep by the Scion of the Seas. He would battle the scions forces alongside the party and helped them get safely to the city of scrolls. In Orsturkirk, Zedithir was one of the first to meet with trouble maker and racist Rafi Frost-Barrel. He would also be the primary guard for the captured Vanar Salinir after the party captured him in Redharbour. After visiting Effelin, Zedithir accomponied Ivar and Roach aboard The Boneless to Valkyrie where the three began investigating the town in preparation for the party's arrival. Zedithir would do much to train the Order of St Tara who had been recruited to keep the peace in the town. When Ivar recieved a message from Val about the party's abduction by The Wraiths the psionic warrior joined the vikingr in contacting Aera Furyborn and helping revive Captain James Tovos so they could rescue the party from The Veil. As a consequence, the warrior was placed into the puzzles within the nexus when the party agreed to a knowledge transfer. Afterwards, he remained in Valkyerie whilst the party handled their quests in Freywen, eventually reuniting with them and spending his downtime training his apprentice back in Orsturkirk. Zedithir would also accompany the party aboard their new subermisble, The Vanguard, built by artificer Xan. He joined them in battle against the forces of the scion around the shipwreck of High King Haarold I Seasnake's treasure fleet, and remained on the submarine in the following battle against the scion, helping to quell the mind-controlled members of the crew.Alternate Reality
In the alternate reality created by Primus where Doomed 2 Die never met, Zedithir was seen in Thevensyne defending the city against Fenrir by Val and Gallus. He was able to tell their presence "wasn't right" and would sacrifice himself fighting the Great Wolf to allow some survivors to escape.Gender Identity
Unusually for an Ice Elf, Zedithir appears to have maintained the same gender for most of his life. He is only known to have taken a potion of changing twice in his long life-time, once early in his life to become male, and a second time to assume facial hair after being impressed by an Aedrinarian jarl's beard.
Mental Trauma
When first meeting the party, his withdrawn nature and high alert level was put down to his time during the 40 Year War. Zedithir shared his time fighting in the lands of Gosca, and stated he was at the Fall of Arcadia. In the aftermath of the war, Zedithir found his spirit and powers fading due to the constant losses he faced during the conflict and became a reclusive hermit in the Vale. He only returned to civilization to pay respects to his dying friend, Tiristar Furyborn.
His time with the party has done much to reawaken the power of the famous adventurer, and his old wounds are slowly closing thanks to the nature and spirit of Doomed 2 Die.
