Root River
The Root River is a short offshoot of the Praethin River in its later third, and runs directly south to form part of the Ustrarian-Kivan border in the northwest of Icalar. It is also the point at which the Maidra Foothills (and thus the Uscerre Shelf) end in the west.
Geography
Its northern half is notably steep due to it running off the Uscerre shelf, but thereafter it has a relatively straight and mild course until it disappears underground; it is speculated that it then curves west and eventually meets with the Baon Well.
Tourism
Unfortunately many have died attempting to follow the river underground, and as such it is rarely visited even for water.
