Acheche River (Ah-CHAY-CHAY)

The Acheche River (or simply 'the Acheche') begins in the middle of Icalar where it splits from the Tubisqu in the northeastern corner of Unenshuut and forms Gell's Landing, thereupon flowing directly south (and forming Unenshuut's eastern border with Iyr in the process) to Seyis-Gol. The majority of its length is in Unenshuut.   At the Unenshuut-Seyis-Gol border it enters the western third of Seyis-Gol and forks immediately into two -- both forks are considered the Acheche and if necessary, distinguished by 'western fork' and 'eastern fork'. While the western fork ultimately ends in the west-center of the country, disappearing underground, the eastern fork forms the small eastern border with Iyr at the tip of the Iyran peninsula, before merging with the Laqalney River.   During the War of the Six, the Acheche became a principal crossing-point for Iyran forces into the central theater in Unenshuut.
