Fort Mehl (MELL)

Fort Mehl is the most southward fort in the system constructed during the flurry of fort-building activity conducted by the Pact of the Blessèd in mid-986AC prior to the War of the Six  It is located in the southern tip of Iyr on the eastern bank of the Acheche River, around a day's ride south of Tikkiss and roughly on the same latitude as Memboti. Although classed as being on the edge of the eastern theater, it did not see much by way of activity or conflict. The structure still stands today, but has been vacated and is currently unoccupied.

History

During its initial construction the remains of a drake were discovered; some of the largest and highest quality to date. They included evidence of its last meal and key bones such as an intact rib, which enabled more accurate speculation as to the species' size and form. This discovery was referenced in Akasien Ttarvek's war poem 'The Finding of the Shuuskep Sacrifices'.
