Copper Oak Dale
Named after its unique trees with their metal copper core, Copper Oak Dale is a striving city these days. Not only home of many smithies and metal workershops, but also for smokehouses and the local delicacy Cranberry Cider brewery "Wacky Wramblers" (with an emblem portraying a wood wramber carrying a cranbarry in its beak).
Considering most of the city is build on cliffs and steep hills, many buildings are constructed with focus in height instead of width, giving the cityscape a quite unique look with its many smaller towers rising above the canopy.
History
Originally a simple Lumberyard, the calamity that spawned the Everchanging Forest allowed the town to shift its focus to metal. After the construction of its own smelter and refinery to improve the quality of its exported Copper, Copper Oak Dale is now importing metal from everywhere in Ederaa to refine it.Turning Copper into Gold
As one of the very few sources of Copper in Aerion, and a renewable one at that, Copper Oak Dale's goods are in high demand. The Dwarves in Hlifjall trade iron, silver, and even gold for the magically conductive metal. While the Elves would never admit as such, they also desire the metal, and there have been attempts (as of yet unsuccessful) to replicate the groves of Copper Oaks in Cirabaen. The coal gained as a byproduct while extracting the copper is sold inside the kingdom, uppermost to smokehouses, which desire its unique notes it infuses any meat with.Points of Interest
Ederaa's 1st castle, the Ocher Castle, before Eadric Valderin started the construction of Castle Fairview. Valerian Valderin has a big interest in inheriting the castle, since he never felt truely at home in Fairview.History
