The Seat of Royalty
The castle thrones above the city, clearly visible to anyone entering. Most people here are from high society, if not even directly associated with the House Valderin. Most other residents are workers, hirelings or slaves. The city seems unnaturally clean and beautiful, with a strong smell of flowers present through most of the year, originating from their well kept botanical garden.A Sweet Gesture
Bottles of "Royal Claret" (a wine mixed with the royal honey and herbs from the Everchanging Forest) given to the families of newborns as a present from the King and Queen to welcome them into the kingdom. The taste is slightly changing each year due to the nature of its sources.Trade
The birthplace high fashion lays in the streets of Fairview. Many skilled tailors craft suits and dresses not only for the rich, but also for everyone who wants to appear to the high class.Defences
The official military presence within the city is relatively low, consisting of a small force of city guardsmen, along with the royal guard charge with defending the castle. While this may draw the security of the town into question, each noble house has its own force of protectors to be called upon in times of need.Points of Interest
The royal gardens, where exotic flora and fauna are gathered from all across Aerion. The fabled Lament of Elves rests in a magically sealed glass display stand for everyone to see as you step into the castle's great hall, as both a reminder and a warning in memory of the events of the War between Ederaa and Cirabaen.History
Eadric Valderin set the first stone for the foundation of castle Fairview in the year 500. As the 20th King of Ederaa, the castle was supposed to be a gift for his lovely wife but he sadly passed away before the construction had finished in the year 533. The last stone was laid by the mayor of Aeroch Nor at the time, a Dwarven master stonemason at the 100 days anniversary of the Ederaan and Hlífjall friendship. Eadric's wife lived her last days inside the new castle walls and in loving memory of her late husband a statue was build inside the garden, portraying him smiling at the beautiful view. Arron Valderin was the 1st king to reign Ederaa from the new throne, adding a statue of his mother next to his father's after her passing. Up to this day the two are sitting holding hands on a bench, surrounded by the royal gardens.
