Chendar

Small city based around a dock. Does trade with Arcenforge to the east, Freecrossing to the north, and through Broadton to the rest of Rhondam and Ederaa.

Culture

Chendar is inhabited by a huge mix of cultures since its connection to all the various species. The first Half-Orcs of the world seem to have been found here. Very open to all the cultures. Very non restricting and open, even more than the rest of Rhondam , which might seem impossible at first. Everyone who seemingly has no home in this world has a place in Chendar. It is the only city after Kragspeak, where Orcs can commonly be seen. Many different festivities of the different races are held in Chendar and for many travelers these customs are new but interesting. Languages are getting shared and sometimes evolve their own little dialects here. Where words are not enough hands and feet are. They always find a way.

Trade

As the closest harbor to Arcenforge, Chendar is importing a lot of the lower magical goods from the half-elven capital to then redistribute them into Rhondam and the surrounding territories by boat or land connections. Many wares can be found here which are nowhere else to be found in the region, even some of the orcish craftsmanship which is else mostly kept to themselves. It is "the main trading city" between the races.

Defenses

Stone walls are defending the harbor city and its inhabitants, but less because they are afraid of any war, more so to make everyone in here feel even safer in the welcoming arms of the city. The mixed guards patrolling the walls and roads are wearing many different banners of clans and races.

Government

Every race has a voice in the town and most decisions are made by pure vote. If the council can't come to a decision the people of the city will be asked to vote on different solutions directly. No voice is unheard here. The small town house is open daily to hear concerns and ideas from its locals to try to improve living here for everybody.
