Lion's Marsh

A city in the marsh with a big golden lion statue that seems out of place. A stranger ranger arrived one day to fight of a marsh hydra, not giving his name to the townsfolk. Sadly he perished to the creature, but his noble lion pet was able to fight it off. The lion was later kept and honoured by the townspeople until it died. The story is anchored in the cities history. The name of the lion was never known, due to the fact that his owner died.
