Hardwater Rain

Hardwater Rain is rain that is hard water, or water with a high mineral content. It is a natural phenomenon that happens when moisture from the Glistening Meadows and sorrounding area evaporate with the high mineral content found in the hot spings. When it falls, the minerals are deposited, forming a thin flaky crystalline scale. The rain iteself isn't inharently dangerous, but it does make a mess. If not cleaned off and with enough hardwater rains, these deposites will quickly form full crystals and will be much harder to remove.   This is sometimes called "Crystal Rain", due to the specific crystals that form from the rain. This is different than other hardwater and hardwater mineral buildup, like limescale.   This can be dangerous if there is an intense hardwater rainstorm, as this will form hail with a crystal in the center. This is known as Crystalline Hail and is much more dangerous and destructive than regular hail as it is much harder and does not break apart on impact as easily.

Manifestation

When rainfall occurs, it may seem relatively unremarkable and look like any other rainstorm. However, under specific conditions, if the minerals start to crystallize while still aloft, these crystals can refract and reflect sunlight, creating a stunning rainbow effect that spreads out in all directions.

Localization

This phenomenon really only happens in the south end of Emberland and in northern Dragon's Tail because of the wind currents. It can also, however, sometimes precipitate anywhere along the leeward side of the Shatterscale Mountains along the river.
