Chaman

The state of Chaman, located alongside the deep waters of the Great Tentarias Strait that divides the two continents of Magnamund, is uniquei n two important respects. Firstly, it is the repository of the largest and most wide-ranging collection of knowledge in the world, and secondly, it is home to one of the last two great Goodly non-human civilisations, theKloon. The Kloon, a learned and hard-working strain of the Drodarin bloodline live all along the Tentarias and the Stornlands. But, they all consider the freestate of Chaman to be their homeland. Many visitors come to Chaman for the sage advice of Kloon.   The precious metals trade is strong in Chaman and contributes heavily to the economy in Chaman.

Magnamund World Map
This map serves as the base map for all other maps in this game setting. It is a world map that shows the continents of both Northern and Southern Magnamund, separated by the Tentarias Sea.

History

Chaman was protected from the worst of the Great Drodarin Plague by its location.  This kept the local Drodarin, or dwarf  poulation preserved while t rehest of their Northeen cousins succumbed.  The Kloon that ventured north to help address the plague never returned.

When the Herbalish cured the Great Plague, they had little to  do in Chaman.

Demography and Population

The Confederacy of Chaman is one of the only places other than Bor with a strong representation of Drodarin, or dwarf citizenry.  Almost 1/3 fo the population of the Chaman are Drodarin, or dwarf , or their evolutionary offshoot, the Kloon.

Agriculture & Industry

Chaman has vast fields fo famlands that support its citizenry.  In addition, there are large deposits of copper and Bronin within the mountain ranges and under the capital city itself.
