The Dinosaur Research Cave

As the party approached the clearing where the cave was located, Bob created an invisible floating disc to carry Eeblock, fully armored and ready to fire a threatening round from his pistol. Jade menacingly broke into the clearing along with Bob, extolling the greatness of Eeblock and Thomas who fired an exploding arrow into the ground and lastly, Eeblock upon the floating disc who let a loud shot ring from his pistol. It was quite an impressive display, but was only half as successful as the party had hoped. Several of the tribesman became extremely hostile rather than becoming awestruck at their presence. Three of the hostile lizardfolk charged toward the group, transforming into small dinosaurs on the way and began attacking the party while three other tribesman remained with the rest of the tribe, throwing spears in the party's direction. After a short battle, the party was able to defeat the three transforming tribesmen, which caused the three spearmen to surrender and give way to the party. It was at this point that Puneatazo made himself known by daring the party to enter the cave if they want to bring an end to this.
 
The entryway into the cave was narrow, so party members had to proceed one by one into the cave, where they found a fairly large chamber. There were several clusters of what looked like eggs along the left cave wall, a body of water along the right and rear cave walls and a pedestal near the center of the chamber with a purple glowing crystal hovering above the pedestal. In front of the pedestal stood Punetazo, poised and ready for battle. Thomas was the last of the party members to enter the chamber, Punetazo had already taken some damage Thomas' companions but just as Thomas drew his bow to loose arrows at the foe, Punetazo transformed. It turns out, this human form was just a guise. The creature was actually a young green dragon, which immediately upon transforming, let loose with a poisonous gaseous breath that Thomas was fortunate enough to be just beyond its reach. As the battle raged on, Cornelius was rendered unconscious from some arcane spell that encompassed the entire party inside the cave as well as Thomas standing just outside the entryway readying another arrow. Being unable to move Cornelius on his own, Thomas rushed through the strange, green glow, shrugging off its effects and joined his companions just as the dragon dove into the water, beyond the reach of any of the party's ranged attacks. Jade rushed back into the arcane glow to rescue Cornelius while Eeblock attempted to stow the crystal in his backpack, but thought better of it as it was the only source of light in the cavern. Once Cornelius was beyond the range of the arcane area, Thomas healed him with a cure wounds spell and made his way towards one of the egg piles to begin destroying them to prevent more dinosaurs from hatching. Meanwhile, Eeblock and Jade dove into the water to take on the dragon and hopefully drive him back to the surface where Thomas and Bob would be able to join the battle. After destroying a couple of eggs, Thomas changed his strategy because the crystal began glowing brighter upon the eggs' destruction. This was eerily similar to what happened at the cave just outside Nightstone. Thomas then made his way towards the edge of the water and was about to draw his short swords to dive in and aid his companions in the melee. Just as he arrived at the waters edge, the dragon surfaced from the water and loosed another poisonous gas breath, this time rendering all three of the land based party members unconscious and dying. Just as things were looking their bleakest, Eeblock and Jade were able to strike fatal blows, slaying the creature. They two then rushed to the aid of their fallen companions, rendering magical healing and general first aid to stabilize them and prevent their deaths.
 
Once all the party members were conscious and moving about again, Cornelius explained that it was the power of the crystal that allowed him to bring the dinosaurs to life and that also bound the dinosaurs to the island. It is unclear what will happen if the crystal is destroyed. Will it destroy all the dinosaurs or will it allow them to survive if they leave the island? Cornelius' fear, is that the dinosaurs will be able to roam the entire kingdom if the crystal is no longer binding them to the island.
 
It looks like there's a big decision ahead for all.
