The Beginning

Thomas traveled to the city of Arcadia to take in the Festival of Lights. Seeking a refreshing ale, he entered the tavern named Spirits where he joined a table where twin Half-Orc, Half-Elf sisters Ruby and Jade. Shortly after sitting down, the trio was joined by Prox, a Loxodon blacksmith that owns the adjoining shop. The group was informed by the tavern owner that his prawns were the best in town and was the best menu choice as the city wide festival included special ticket, in the form of a golden prawn, to dine with the king. The groups prawns were delivered shortly thereafter and dumped on the table for consumption. Thomas scanned through the fare looking for a golden prawn, but Ruby had already grabbed a handful of them and accidentally bit into the prize. The tavern owner loudly exclaimed them as the contest winners and the entire establishment erupted into excitement.
 
Unfortunately, several patrons desired this prize for themselves. Ruby was besieged by violent patrons trying to steal the prawn. Thomas made his way to the door where he intended to defend his new friends with his bow. Prox cast a fog cloud which disoriented the attackers giving him an escape route and Jade the opportunity to KO one of the attackers and lead a badly injured Ruby to the exit, where the group fled to Prox,'s smithy to rest and regroup.
 
After a short rest, the party decided to make their way to High Town and claim their entry to the King's Feast. Enroute, the party was separated in the massive crowd when Ruby and Thomas found their way into an alley to try and stake out a way to locate their friends. They were not alone in this alley. Three goblins were hunched over a piece of paper muttering amongst themselves when they noticed the new arrivals and bared daggers intending to charge. At that moment, Thomas drew his bow and fired a stray arrow at the nearest goblin as the trio charged. A small melee battle ensued which ended promptly with the arrival of Jade and Prox. Thomas was able to slay one of the goblins with an arrow and the party retrieved the note which indicated the goblins were planning a raid to "capture the crown".
