Gimoruk

Gimoruk is a village on the southern edge of the Demons' Blood Marshes in the Queendom of Keeleon. It is west of the Rexun River and on the border between the Northern Orcish Plains and the Western Valley. The Black Marsh Road runs through the village.

Description

After the Great War, an encampment was founded to begin the long process of recovery and accounting for all those lost in the Battle of the Demons' Blood Marshes. Acolytes of Nerull, The Scythe-Bearer, would take many years to tend to the passing of those lost in the black waters of the marsh. To honor the sacrifices of the human armies, the settlement was named in honor of one such unknown warrior: a soldier of Gimora among the slain, dissolving bodies of a half dozen Glabrezu.   Completely destroyed by Esturk's forces in the Fourth Age, the current Gimoruk is a muddy and grim place. The crown is far away from here, and most citizens know they'll need to defend themselves against anyone or anything that would threaten them here. There's a strong sense of traditionalism here and resistance against the spreading non-orc cultures from elsewhere in Tarteria.

History

The Fourth Age: The Age of Shadow
After the Great War, an encampment was founded to begin the long process of recovery and accounting for all those lost in the Battle of the Demons' Blood Marshes.   During the Tarterian War, the forces of Esturk, The World's End, would raze and destroy Gimoruk.
The Fifth Age: The Age of Beginnings
Gimoruk was eventually rebuilt early in the Fifth Age as the influence of the Queendom of Keeleon grew.   At some point before 23 Madaet 5A 352, a letter from Borscha Brickwell at the Darksteel Foundry was sent to the Groundskeepers of the Scythe’s Charnelcroft to be delivered to Romulus.
