Magador
Magador is a mountainous country wtih dozens of small mines across its territory and hundreds f small fortified homes loosely assembled into large villages united by a common name and fairly heavy taxation.
The people of Magador are a hardy folk, that survive by mining and paying heavy taxes to a king, that is little more than a bandit lord. The rulers in each of these villages maintain their station by keeping the tax money flowing to the King. Due to their reliance on mining, there are sporadic border disputes with Eldenora to the south over the rights to mine the mountains that make up their border.

History
The peoples who originally settled here came from the southwest and mined the ore-rich mountains. But their wealth soon attracted outlaws and robber-barons who fought to take over the land. In MS 3657, all of the royal household were murdered, and a pretender called Prince Dolgorn acceded to the throne. The present ruler, King Vanagrom VI, is a descendant of Dolgorn. Although Magador is seen to be an independent kingdom, the King was little more than a puppet of the Darklords.
A native son of Magador returned from the Darklands and led an uprising against King Vanagrom VI. The revolt ended with the King’s death and the dissolution of the monarchy.
Magador became a republic and the Slavemaster, whose name was Kadharian, was elected its first President.
