Shadakine Confederation
Shadaki has a very decentalized government, with a common cultural heritage. The land covered by Shadaki is so vast,and the central government so weak, that the different duchies may be seen as autonomous. But, with a recent history of being a unified empire, the different armies are loathe to engage with each other aggressively.
The individual principailities exist in a state of tension. With Shasarak now gone for decades, there is little belief that Shadaki will be reunited. In addition, some surrounding countries still talk of making Shadaki pay for the predations of the Shadakine Empire. So, the citizens of the states of Shadaki go on. The former armies often raid passing sea vessels, while sailors ply and fish the seas. Each municiality if determining it own way of going forward.

The last few hundreds of years of history have shaped the Shadaki people into a resigned people. The armies and ruling classes often elevated the stature of the citizenry, to maintain support for their wars of conquest. Press gangs roamed the streets to keep the armies populated, and the conquest of the neighboring countries supplied victims for Shasarak's ritual sacrifices.

Public Agenda
The government of Shadaki promises to help defend their member communities from reprisals of the neighboring countries. But, each settlement feels disconnected from the others. People have begun to talk about closing the doors on Shadaki in favor of smaller governments but few are brave enough to discuss the possibility publicly.
History
Shadaki was once the heart of a Shadakine Empire, a vast Empire covering the east coast of Southern Magnamund. With the death of Shasarak in MS 5057, the empire was shattered and fell into civil war. The civil war has since abated but Shadaki is a shadow of its former self.
Demography and Population
As a people, the Sadi have numerous fishers and craftspersons. As large as Shadaki is, the population consists of a number of ethnicities, and small settlements of nonhuman peoples.
