Seagar was still on watch when Leith returned, along with the innkeeper and a tall woman with long white hair tied back. They swept into the inn, bringing a frigid wind inside and upsetting the fire. A few of the men had gathered and were sitting quietly at the tables, half-heartedly playing a game of dice while they waited for word on the captain’s health.
“Who is it that’s dying here?” Jenar said, shrugging her brown shawl up onto her shoulders. “Well? You think I don’t have better things to be doing?” “Is that you, Leith?” Toli said, appearing at the top of the stairs. “I brought the healer,” Leith said, escorting her into the common room. “This is Jenar.
