Gundren Rockseeker hires the party to escort a wagon from Neverwinter to Phandalin. He leaves for Phandalin with his escort, Sildar Hallwinter. He tells the party to meet Thistle Underfoot at the southern gate the following day.

The party is ambushed on the Triboard Trail by a band of goblins. They chase the goblins back to their hideout to deal with them before resuming their journey to Phandalin.
The party assaults Cragmaw Castle, the stronghold of the Cragmaw tribe, where they believe Gundren is being held.
The party discovers the Forge of Spells inside of Wave Echo Cave, then heads back to Phandalin to inform Sildar and Gundren.
The party uses the dwarven rune stones to open the Forge of Spells with Gundren Rockseeker and sets off back to Neverwinter to ask for help to be sent to secure the forge and Phandalin.
As the party enters Neverwinter, the tavern they are staying in is assaulted by Kobolds looking to kill a patron named Dorn Buckman.
The party stays at Trinn's family estate while going about their business in Neverwinter
The party ventures in to Neverwinter Wood to investigate a location marked in the nearby mountains.
The party heads back through Neverwinter Wood towards Neverwinter, but makes a stop by Thundertree.
After reporting back to Neverwinter, the party decides to take care of Venomfang themselves.
The party begins their journey toward the Monastery of New Dawn, but ends up uncovering Valamin's past life, dismantling the Highsong Rovers, and resting in Elturel.
When the party enters Elturel, Seeker goes off on his own while the rest of the party resupplies. Panton gives Valamin a couple gifts, and the party enjoys a quick day off before parting ways with him. Valamin admits that he's afraid of reverting back to his former self after having his memories restored. He asks that the party stop him by any means necessary should it come to that, but jokingly remarks that Reginald may not even be able to hit him.
The party arrives at the Monastery of the New Dawn, but the path is unexpectedly fraught with undead.
