Efergen
Marissian: Efergen /ɛːfɛrkɛn/
Efergen is one of the last unexplored regions in Adynía, mostly because any expeditions sent into it barely escape with their lives, if they return at all. The people living nearby -Marissians to the west and Dúnaraz-Dwarves to the north- avoid the forest as they can, only gathering some firewood at the very edge when all else fails.
The exact reason why Efergen is so dangerous is poorly understood, but many scholars believe it has something to do with the high amount of arcane energies emanating from the woods, similar to Úrún in the northwest but much more extreme.

Geography
Efergen covers a vast area between the Gulf of Myrlan in the west, Nótal Bay in the east and the Sjorgús Mountains to the north, with a stretch of arid land separating it from Goldensands to the northeast.
Fauna & Flora
The few people who have ventured into Efergen and survived often have tales of strange creatures they encountered, some described more often than others. Large predators resembling lions but with scorpion tails are mentioned fairly often, as are fearsome beasts sporting tusks, horns and clawed feet.
