Arborea

Caught exactly at the midpoint between the cosmic pulls of positive energy and chaos, Arborea is a land of splendor and enchantment, where rage and joy are equally common and equally honored. Its landscape embodies the wild and serene simultaneously.   Eladrin, the parent species of Elves, first appeared here.

Geography

The biomes of Arvandor are split between three provinces: Aquallor, which comprises the shallows where the Realm meets Oceanus; Arvandor, the largest province, covered with towering old-growth forests; and Mithardir, a blighted desert on the outer edge of the Realm.

Localized Phenomena

Arborea is the only place with more Fey crossings than Primus. This is thought to be largely due to the pull of chaotic energy combined with the sylvan environment.   Perhaps also attributable to its place on the chaotic axis is the strength of emotion in Arborea. Arborea knows only passion. Minor annoyance is stoked into rage as easily as mild amusement bubbles into utmost joy. This phenomenon extends beyond mere cultural norms, affecting even newly-arrived visitors.

Fauna & Flora

All manner of Fey creatures call Arborea home, as well as nearly any natural beast one can think of.   The flora consist mainly of the ancient, old-growth trees which cover the forested province of Arvandor. The watery province of Aquallor is also home to several species of coral, seaweed, and sea grass, as well as a multitude of fish and crustaceans who enjoy the clear, warm water.
