Istrolheim
If you are looking for a true challenge to test your mettle, Istrolheim is the place. A land of deep snow drifts, freezing winds, and giant creatures that roam the wastes- only those who are prepared to risk it all should consider traversing this terrain. A number of small fishing villages dot the coast, providing places to safely rest and recuperate on your journey. While travel by land is dangerous, travel by sea is only advised for those well-versed in sailing frozen waters.
To know before you travel:
- Warm clothing is a must! Wool and furs will do well, but be sure to keep dry. If you are able, consider investing in a Ring of Warmth or a pair of Boots of the Winterlands- you will not regret said purchase!
- Fire is necessary for warmth, cooking, and drinking as your water will freeze. There are very few trees to scavenge for wood, so plan well for fuel.
- Travel in cold and snow requires energy, so be sure to rest and eat well. Those who are skilled in hunting, fishing, and trapping will find meat plentiful. Plan to pack in your own dried fruits and vegetables for an agreeable stomach.
