Town of Thorn
The Town of Thorn is located 15 miles southwest of Rolar, on the edge of the great Old Oak Chase. It is not part of the Shire of Oakfield, but much of its business and most of its population are closely connected to the shire folk. The town and its environs do a brisk business in livestock, especially mules, ponies and pigs. The mules and ponies are especially prized by the miners in the County of Redstone, as are the delicious pork products that are provided by the pigs. The town has a stone and hedge wall some 20’ high, but only one gate and no permanent towers. The Mayor of Thorn is Terry Longhand, a Halfling woman of 50 years that runs the town like it’s her family business. She seems to know every one of the 2,500 souls that call Thorn home.
