Siyen

Siyen is one of the most peaceful and hospitable of nations in Southern Magnamund. Nestled next to Rezovia and Lunarlia, the capital of Seroa controls access to the River Sero, and an easy waterway from the Tentarias to the center of Southern Magnamund.

The people of Siyen are slow to anger, and favor diplomacy over open conflicts. Their postitioning next to Doomlands of Naaros and the Northern Siyen mountain range provide natural barriers to invastion. Aside from their involvement in Darklord Zagarna's great war against Sommerlund, they have avoided open war with anyone.

Culture

Unlike many of the warlike countries of Southern Magnamund, Siyen has always favored peaceful negotiations and diplomacy over force of arms. In their time, they have learned that maintaining a standing army and navy is a necessity, but their diplomats are held in high regard.

The people of Siyen are still deeply hurt by their allyship with Darklord Zagarna and Rezovia leading up to the Purge of the Kai in MS 5050. There is a shame held by most citizens and they do not like to discuss their nation's complicity.

Public Agenda

Siyen seeks little more than to reassert their reputation as peacebrokers. The nations extend a positive hand to any visiting Kai Lord.

History

Siyen has always favored diplomacy over war, but realized the need for a standing army during the Great Civil War of Bhanar. During that war, refugees and military units crossed over into Siyen. Their small standing army was barely able to hold them off.

Following that conflict, Siyen has always maintained a standing army, and larger than expected navy to protect Seroa.

To their shame, the government was clandestinely co-opted by a small group of Helghast in MS 5044. They developed an alliance with Rezovia, in service to Darklord Zagarna.

Military

Siyen maintains a standing army, consisting mostly of infantry, based in Oberra. Their navy, based in Seroa is incredibly well supplied for its small size.

Foreign Relations

Siyen once had an alliance with Rezovia, in league with Darklord Zagarna. Following the revelation of Helghast influence in this alliance, it has crumbled. While there ar no hostilities between the country, Siyen actively avoids trade or any partnerships with Rezovia.

Following the removal of Helghast from the country, Siyen applied and joined the Freelands Alliance, a mutual defense pact aligned against the Darklandss.
