Mi'tsuru'gi

Raised on his own slightly west of the Javan river Mi'tsu lived his first 50 years in a hollow within a great oak alone. Hunting and foraging he used the shortbow his mother was carrying when his parents where killed by a tenebrous worm. When he believed himself trained enough to start hunting them he headed east to hunt. His first interaction with a worm went horribly wrong however and he only escaped because of the monk S'olonor happening across the encounter. He rapidly slew the worm and took Mi'tsu under his wing, training him with bow and blade in the name of Solonor.    Through time and effort the monk taught the boy the way of the bow and eventually had the child reveal his name. Veh'dari, but for all his work he also revealed the emptiness within the child. By having no emotion or ties to the material plan, the young elf could absorb marksmanship at an alarming rate, and without the hesitation of empathy, his arrows struck true. On Veh'dari's 50th yeah of life, S'olonor announced he had no further training to offer and announced his graduation and name day celebration to happen simultaneously. Veh'dari was to take on the job of hunter for the temple and was given the name Mi'tsurugi to honour his parents Mihit and Tsuru. This name was yet another task taken on with no response.   Mitsu felt there was something lacking in his time at the temple, but then a visiter approached him with a specific and secretive task. Mitsu was asked to kill the husband of a young wife so that this visitor may claim the wife as his own. One single shot to make himself wealthy and to give him something to actually hunt.   With discovery of the murder, chaos broke loose on the temple grounds. The plot was uncovered and Mitsu was sold out by the visitor. During an investigation and summary trial by jury Mitsu was asked by the leader of the temple how he could take the life of one of his companions? How could he spill blood on the holy grounds of Solonor's treetop temple? What teachings lead him to this course of action? But Mistsu was characteristically stoic. He spoke on the failings of the monks and the weakness that had infiltrated the lives of hunters. ow could he not hunt the ultimate game when he had spent the last 40 years being preached to about just that? The pitiful scheming of humans and others of short lifespans saw not the purity of the held breath before release of an arrow, the quiet revealed after striking your quarry, and the wealth that came with it.   Veh'dari known as Mitsurugi was exiled from the temple for no less than 150 years one year for every gold piece he was paid to kill Farris Stoneson.   As he was escorted to the gate by S'olonor neither said a word as Sol gently wept. Untill finally as Mitsu crossed the temple boundary without looking back he heard a quiet voice, "you were my son....ill see you one day. be it here or in the open world"   And that was the last he saw of Sol, but to this day he hunts for his Kensai monk and surrogate father.   Will he loose the arrow that shall cut ties with his old life?
