Foretbasse

The Foretbasse is a heavily wooded region bordered by the Sypi River to the west, the Dread Bayou to the south, the Emerald Coast and the Mobtens River to the east, and the Cotaw Plains to the north. The woods here are thick and are only occasionally broken by a fortress, town, or hamlet. In Losana, the kingdom has carved farmland out of the woods over the centuries, offering some breaks, but for the most part the trees are intact. In the Sypi Confederacy some of the forest was cleared by the Sihka Tribe and their allies, but the razing of their encampments has led to the forests slowly reclaiming much of the region. The land is relatively low level, and gently slopes from the north to the south, ending in swamping beaches along the Circle Sea and Lake Ponchart. The forests are popular among the civilized goblin tribes and several human tribes, and plentiful game and fruits in the forest help migrating tribes survive off of the bounties that can be found.
