Humanoid, Creature Type

Humanoids are the main peoples of Azimuth, both civilized and savage, including humans and a tremendous variety of other species. They have language and culture, few if any innate magical abilities (though most humanoids can learn spellcasting), and a bipedal form.   The most common humanoid races are the ones from prominent nations of the world, including humans, dwarves, elves, and orcs. In addition, there are a variety of other species, as well as numerous but far more savage and brutal races at odds with civilizations across the many lands of Azimuth.

List of Humanoids

Listed here are some of the most common peoples whose cultures and influence have altered the face of Azimuth and its many lands. The entries are separated into several broad descriptors (Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Ones of a Kind) which may not be entirely accurate. However, they should be useful to determine how the populations of these races relate in approximate proportion to one another on the various continents of Azimuth.

In addition to the above, some monstrous entities take humanoid forms. They may have their own cultures or language, however they also share traits with monstrosities, beasts, or other categories of creature. These monstrous humanoids are often aggressive and dangerous, and some have innate magical abilities as well.
