At the helm of this iconic tavern is the esteemed bartender, Tork Keghart, who carries on a proud family tradition. The tavern has been in the Keghart family's care for generations, with Tork assuming command after his father's passing. Tork is a proud companion of a small amphithere named Nissov. Nissov can often be found gracefully coiled up in the bar, captivating the attention and affection of the tavern's regulars. With its mystical presence and gentle demeanor, Nissov has quickly become a beloved mascot of the bar, adding a touch of magic to the cozy atmosphere. From time to time, he can't resist taking something from a patron's plate, often prompting them to call him a savage before a burst of laughter follows.
History
As the Dragonguard Alliance took shape and began constructing its headquarters, a bustling city sprang up around the building to accommodate the increasing number of personnel. It was during this time that Tork's ancestor constructed a temporary building to oversee the distribution of food and beverages from the logistics division to the south side of the city.
Amidst the chaos of the Draconian War, weary guardians returning from the front lines or seeking solace from their injuries often sought out a place to unwind with a drink. Although alcohol was technically prohibited by the Dragonguard, exceptions were made for those returning from the battlefield in need of rest and for the injured.
After the war drew to a close, the makeshift building endured, and Tork's ancestor departed from the Dragonguard to dedicate himself to the upkeep and success of the establishment. It was then that he bestowed upon the tavern its name: "Savage Serpent Alehouse", drawing inspiration from the formidable Wyrm of Chaos. It also symbolizes the city of Eldrya, which serves as the headquarters of the Dragonguard and ultimately emerged victorious in vanquishing the wyrm.
The Fire
A devastating fire broke out one day and destroyed most of the bar. Tork and his father took it upon themselves to craft new furniture, including the bartop, tables, chairs, and barstools. Their dedication and craftsmanship brought a sense of pride and warmth to the bar, making it a special place for both the owners and patrons.
