Ilfor

Ilfor is the small isle in the southeastern corner of the Moontide Isles, directly south of Glanmoor. Its location affords Ilfor the luxury of being the warmest and the most fertile of the major islands, as well as being the Moontide location furthest away from the Northlander raids.
The residents of Ilfor always had a reputation of being aloof toward the rest of Daoine. The other islands often struggled with hazards, raids, and harsher climates, but Ilfor was afforded better climate and fertile lands, making their survival much easier. When the first peoples of the Oleander Throne landed on Ilfor, Petty King Aalyn Cnur allowed them to settle, drawn in my the luxuries and riches of the settlers. Over time, however, the Oleander Throne's territory grew and became more invasive, claiming more and more of Ilfor's resources, until Ilfor was little more than a colony of the Oleander Throne. When the Oleander fleet sailed to the Moontide Isles set on conquest, King Aalyn and his family were disposed of, as were the noble families of Ilfor. Ilfor was to be the staging point for the Oleander invasion, but as the Great Leviathan destroyed the fleet, the druid Lugh Dunaid rode through the towns of Ilfor cutting down the Oleander loyalists with fury and efficiency.
Liberated, Ilfor swore allegiance under the High King. High King Lugh appointed a governor to oversee the island, granting it some measure of independence, but still giving the High Monarch more control over the territory. Today, Governor Brecc Cinaed rules Ilfor and has renewed the isles' loyalty to the High Queen. Today, the inhabitants of Ilfor are mostly Daoine, though a number Oleander citizens still remain on the isles, but with much less fanaticism as their mainland cousins.
