Character Traits

I have a list of variables where I can insert a trait with a tooltip into the sidebar on a charcater's page. The table below is a list of every variable.   Example: Aloof

This page consits a list of many character traits and a short description. All traits are based on ProWritingAid's Character Traits page and each trait has a link to the specific page to learn more.   This is not a complete list of traits, there are way too many of them, and many traits have overlap with other traits. I suggest you click the "learn more" link (opens in a new tab) for a trait for more information and examples.
I didn't use every trait from ProWritingAid because these traits are used as a general description for a character, and not necessarily for a "in the moment" type of emotion.   For example, a character may experience depression during the story due to the death of a loved one, but this is not their fundamental trait. They are not consistently depressed throughout the story and are not generally known for it. Of course, if the character has clinical depression, then they would have the "depressed" trait.
Note: I have also added [Positive], [Neutral], and [Negative] at the end of the description so you can search for a specific connotation. (I'd like to have the trait colored, but I can't do that with this special table)   ProWritingAid character trait lists
